- According to the release, Treasury transactions worth $4.7 trillion were devoid of TAS codes.
- A Treasury Account Symbol (TAS) connects a treasury payment to a budget line item.
- DOGE discovered this field was optional and left blank for transactions above, making the money spent “almost untraceable”!!
- DOGE’s goal is to end waste, fraud, and abuse of taxpayers’ money and improve function and has announced that the TAS code will now be mandatory!
